Hello World!

Welcome to my personal space for the showcase of my personal photographic explorations. I'm a photographer via moving image and as such I understand that sometimes imagery is most powerful when it's frozen. I studied at Columbia College Chicago where I graduated in 2010 and although I specialized in film and video production I always gravitated towards the simplicity and clarity of still photography. I've been lucky enough to use my skills as a storyteller over the years with many opportunities to take on the role as a photographer and so I sort of fell into this role by a different means than some. One aspect of my work that has permeated through everything that I do is my love of marrying creativity and technicalality. When dealing with equipment and people there's a fine balance of communication and discreet know-how that is necessary to tell a story whether it's in moving images or a single photograph. What I will be studying here going forward is the relation between art and science and how it can affect the final frame.
